A day in the life of a your castle caretakers ltd employee:

Cleaning supervisor edition!

Hi! My name is Aggi, and I am currently a cleaning supervisor at Your Castle Caretakers Ltd. My role involves carrying out a diverse range of tasks with many different people at different locations. No two days are the same! I would like to share my typical day with you at Your Castle Caretakers Ltd.

  • 5:30 AM

I arrive at my first location where I open up the building; check and open rooms for employees to start working in and gather employees for a meeting.

  • 5:45 AM

Meeting time! I have a brief team meeting to assign daily tasks and any specific tasks which might have been requested by the client, checking that everything is okay.

  • 6:00 AM

I return to my office and start my paperwork which includes calculating overtime, planning stocks, coordinating cleaning schedules to ensure that all areas have been assigned for cleaning on that day.

  • 7:00 AM

At 7:00am, I do a few spot-checks and assist the cleaning staff where needed, ensuring that nothing is overlooked in any of the classrooms.

  • 9:00 AM

I return to my office to report any problems and/or requests to do with maintenance or site supervisors.

  • 9:30 AM

Time to move on to the next location! Here, I liaise with managers and customers to ensure that all their requirements are cared for efficiently and to the best standard possible. During this time I check whether each staff member has the needed equipment to complete their work while looking for ways to perform tasks more efficiently.

  • 2:30 PM

I return to my first location to check on second-shift employees and plan their tasks and check stocks and/or equipment as required.

  • 4:00 PM

At 4:00pm I meet with the site manager at my third location for the day, and my daily work process is repeated.
  • 5:00pm

    5:00pm
If there are new employees on site, I will train them how to lockup, set alarms and improve their cleaning abilities.

  • 6:15PM

I finish work and head home to work on my apprenticeship for an hour. Today was busy!
